Thank you SOOOOOOO dearly for the work you share on this site. I first visited this site 2 years ago and wondered how the messages I was led to could possibly apply to my life. I was emotionally paralyzed and allowing an abusive partner to run my life because I was so afraid of not being able to adequately take care of my family on my own. I was still plagued by PTSD flashbacks and triggers because of traumatic abuse as a toddler. I wanted to believe in a positive future, but felt that thinking about happiness in the present was a form of denial of the circumstances I was enduring.
ReplyDeleteIn the time since then, I've experienced all the aspects of life I so desperately feared happening to me. The irony is that I found greater inner peace and strength in those times than when I had the nice house and bills paid beforehand. In times past, I expended most of my energy worrying about what would happen if those things occurred. When I managed to actually manifest those fears, I realized that they were illusory. Life was challenging, but I found more love, angelic support, inner reserve, and power already within me than I ever knew or acknowledged that I'd always had.
We really are the incarnation of love. We have the tools to produce the richest inner experiences of compassion and face for ourselves even when everything seems to be falling apart. We can click our heels and bring the experience of "home" into our present realities anytime we wish. The path home begins by looking honestly at what we do wish for with our whole beings and becoming increasingly willing to move the various aspects of our lives up to that level to allow those most profound wishes to come true.
Happiness is always possible when love for ourselves is present. No matter how chaotic, impoverished, endangered, terrifying, horrific, or disastrous our present circumstances are (and they may very well be all of those qualities), we can begin to create the world we prefer from exactly where we are. By seeing ourselves with patience, honesty, compassion, with the willingness to let go of our hurt and anger, with the willingness to engage life with healthy boundaries, with the willingness to face our passion and heal... ...Love for ourselves can create love for others. Love for others can bridge the divisions amongst us. Love for ourselves can bridge the divisions within us though. When we realize that no actual enemies exist outside of us that can endanger our souls, we will begin to face the enemies we've created of ourselves from within.
